Personalised Slate Oval Board

Designed and hand-crafted from Cumbrian slate, our board makes the perfect gift for special occasions arriving in a beautiful box with hand tied ribbon.

We are a family who are proud that our beautiful slate products are designed, quarried, crafted, personalised for you, wrapped and packaged in the heart of the Lake District.

There are lots of slate boards on the market but ours are different - We use the traditional V Deep Cut method of engraving which means that the engraving will last and look stunning for years. (It wont wash off like some other so called 'engraving'!) We also polish all of our slate boards around the edge, most boards on the market are not finished with such a beautiful edge and all our slate is from the UK (not all can claim that either!!)

We can engrave up to 50 characters around the board 25 characters around the top and 25 characters around the bottom. If you require more characters then please be in touch and we will see if we can help.

You can add a message to be engraved on the back of the board (up to 40 characters) for an additional £20. This message will be engraved in the centre of the back of the board.

Please note that your engraving will appear exactly as you enter it, including any capitalisation (e.g. John & Linda, john and linda, JOHN & LINDA).

The board has small cork mats underneath so that it will not scratch a work surface.

Following lots of requests our workshop has now perfected our beautiful cheese knife. We offer a special price if you order a knife at the same time as your board, the plain one is £24 and the engraved on one side (12 characters) is £34 and engraved on two sides (12 characters each side) is £39. Our cheese knives are hand crafted to complement our cheese boards with a Cumbrian slate handle and a stainless steel blade made in Sheffield.

Our beautiful cheese knife handle is crafted and engraved in our workshop from Cumbrian slate our blade is fully hot forged in Sheffield. The blades are ground, glazed and rumbled before being fully cuttled, mirror polished and hand-finished.
